Our approach to source material
For entries sourced from Reddit, forums, NHTSA, or patents, we do not host or republish images, PDFs, or embedded diagrams from the original. We publish our own written summary of the underlying facts and link to the original source.
User submissions
Users are required to submit only their own original writing. If a user submission nonetheless infringes your copyright, please use the process below.
How to submit a takedown notice
Send a written notice to our designated agent at [DMCA AGENT EMAIL/ADDRESS] including:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
- Identification of the material on the Site you claim is infringing, with a URL
- Your contact information
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and you’re authorized to act
Counter-notice
If your submission was removed and you believe this was a mistake, you may submit a counter-notice with your signature, identification of the removed material, a good-faith statement, your contact information, and consent to jurisdiction.
Repeat infringers
We will remove content and, where appropriate, block submitters who are repeat infringers.
